The Language Café of 12.01.2010 was captured on film during a surprise visit by France 3 TV. You can see the short feature by clicking this link: From 8th December 2009, the Café linguistique moves to the EuroStudentCafé in the FEC, opposite the Zanzibar. There’s more space and the drinks are cheap! We look forward to seeing you there…and please tell your friends… Time: 7.30-9.30pm Foyer de l’Étudiant Catholique (FEC)
Cześć, jak się masz? Here are some of the creations made by participants at the Japanese table. Not only a linguistic, but also a cultural experience! The meeting at Café Raven is closed from December 2009 Enjoy an evening in the company of many languages! Join us the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at Café Raven, Place du Corbeau, 67000 Strasbourg. The evening kicks off at 7.30pm. Everyone welcome! More about the location: Organised by Food Culture, SMILE and Café Babel… The language tables of SMILE, the Café Polyglotte in Haguenau, Neustadt am Rhein and Chatosferabella all came together for the European Picnic on Sunday. The Jardin des Deux Rives was buzzing with activity and the sun kept us warm most of the afternoon as we enjoyed food typical of different European countries. Thanks to all who took part and we look forward to planning many activities together in the future. I met the management of Café Raven today. They would be very happy to welcome us to their café, so i arranged for us to meet their from 26.05.2009; providing you like it, we can schedule all our meetings there. We’ll meet in the room on the right-hand side as you enter, where the music volume can be independently controlled. So rendez-vous on Tuesday 26.05.2009 at Café Raven, Place du Corbeau from 19:30-21:30. Please tell your friends! Further info: See you there, David Thanks to Régine for this comment following her visit to Strasbourg and to our language tables: The meeting in Dubliners was very lively, not least because at 8.30pm we were joined by many Spanish and English-speaking football supporters. Well, it was the Champions League semi-final. Franck and François inspired a heated debate about football hooliganism. It ended 0-0, as did the match, but we were on our bikes before the final whistle sounded.
THIS MEETING IS NOW CLOSED As from November 2008, the meeting point in Strasbourg has moved to The Dubliners pub, 7 Rue du Vieux Marché aux Poissons, F-67000 Strasbourg. The frequency will be increased to twice-monthly…the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, from 19:30-21:30. Happy Hour is specially extended for us until 20:30 (instead of 19:30). We look forward to seeing you there… Sorry, this entry is only available in Deutsch. |
