The European Picnic 2009

The language tables of SMILE, the Café Polyglotte in Haguenau, Neustadt am Rhein and Chatosferabella all came together for the European Picnic on Sunday. The Jardin des Deux Rives was buzzing with activity and the sun kept us warm most of the afternoon as we enjoyed food typical of different European countries. Thanks to all who took part and we look forward to planning many activities together in the future.

Strasbourg – change of venue! Important!

I met the management of Café Raven today. They would be very happy to welcome us to their café, so i arranged for us to meet their from 26.05.2009; providing you like it, we can schedule all our meetings there. We’ll meet in  the room on the right-hand side as you enter, where the music volume can be independently controlled.

So rendez-vous on Tuesday 26.05.2009 at Café Raven, Place du Corbeau from 19:30-21:30. Please tell your friends!

Strasbourg 28.04.2009

The meeting in Dubliners was very lively, not least because at 8.30pm we were joined by many Spanish and English-speaking football supporters. Well, it was the Champions League semi-final. Franck and François inspired a heated debate about football hooliganism. It ended 0-0, as did the match, but we were on our bikes before the final whistle sounded.
